The notified vacancies are for the domicile of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry or Lakshadweep islands states. Age Limit

The Minimum age of Applicant: 18 Years

Maximum Age limit: 30 Years

The cutoff date for the calculation of candidate’s age is 31/03/2017.

The Airport Authority of India will consider only the 10th or Matriculation mark sheet for the candidate’s date of birth. So candidate should fill only the 10th Class mark sheet date of birth in the application form.

Experience
  1. Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (OR)
  2. Valid Medium Vehicle License issued at least one year before the date of advertisement i.e., 13th June 2018 (OR)
  3. Valid Light Motor Vehicle Licence issued at least two years before the date of advertisement i.e., 13th June 2018.
Two years (2) relevant experience in the concerned discipline.

Physical Fitness Criteria

The physical fitness requirement is only for Junior Assistant post in the Fire Service Department. The details are hereunder.

  2. Near Vision – N5 with each Eye Without Glasses. (Visual evaluation is for each eye individually)
  3. Colour Vision – Should be Normal as determined by Ishihara’s

  5. Field of Vision: Each eye should have full field of vision as determined by confrontation test.
  6. Refractive error: No refractive error is acceptable.

Relaxation of 3 cms in height (for both male & female candidates) and chest measurements (only for male candidates) and proportionate relaxation in weight will be allowed to hilly area candidates on production of bonafide certificates.



Junior Assistant Fire Service Selection Procedure

Junior Assistant selection process consists of two stages, 1st one is the written examination and 2nd Physical efficiency test. Let’s see each one here in brief.

Stage-I Written Test

  • Total Number of Questions: 100
  • Mark for each question: 1
  • Duration of Test Paper: 2 Hours
  • Minimum passing Marks: 50(GEN/OBC)
  • Minimum Passing Marks: 40 (SC/ST)

Those who qualify the above mentioned online written exam get the opportunity to appear in the Physical endurance test.

Stage-II Physical Endurance Test

After passing the Stage-I online test, AAI authorities will check the documents of applicants. Thereafter, they have to appear in the driving test. Those who have valid Driving License, they can appear in the test. After clearing the driving test, the physical endurance test will be conducted.

  1. 100 Meter Running (Should be Completed in 15 Seconds by Male & 15 Seconds by Female)
  2. Rope Climbing
  3. Pole Climbing
  4. 60 Meter running with human dummy
  5. Full ladder climbing

The minimum passing marks for Endurance test is 60 out of 100.


The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in the stage-I & II exams. The successful candidates will get the opportunity to appear in the Basic Training course of 18 Months. During the training, a candidate will get fixes stipend of 25000 per month.

After successful training S/he will be appointed as Junior Assistant Fire Service.

Senior Assistant (Electronics) Selection Procedure

The all eligible diploma engineers have to appear in the written examination whose details are given here;

  • Total Number of Questions: 100
  • Number of Questions on Technical subjects: 70
  • Number of Questions on GK/Aptitude/English: 30
  • Duration of examination: 120 Minutes
  • Passing Marks for GEN/OBC: 50 Marks
  • Passing Marks for SC/ST: 40 Marks

On the basis of above-mentioned examination a final merit list will be prepared and then top candidates will be called for document verification process.

Thereafter they have to appear in the 14 weeks of training. During the training period, they will get fixed stipend of Rs 25000/- per month. After the training, AAI appoints them in the post of Senior Assistant (Electronics) in the pay scale of 14500-33500.
