Salary of BARC Scientist/Engineers ‘C’ Scientific Assistant C & Technician B/C after 7th CPC

A newly appointed Scientific/Technical Officer get approximate 78,000 Indian Rupees gross monthly salary. On promotions, he/she can reach up to higher levels pay of INR 2,50,000 pm (Cabinet Secretary level).

How to become a BARC SCIENTIST?

 BARC Training schools are located in the following locations:

Trainee scientific officers on completing the training successfully by securing at least 50 percent marks are appointed as a scientist (Scientific Officer C).

Selection for OCES/DGFS is done through online application screening test (Online exam)/ GATE score and interview system.

Two routes are available for candidates to get selected as TSO (Trainee Scientific Officer);

  1. Online test route: Performance in the online test is used for  next level interview
  2. GATE score route: GATE score (Current Year) used for interview shortlisting

60% marks in degree level, B. Tech./ 5 years integrated M Tech or PG in science.

Maximum age 26 for general category,  29 for OBC, 31  for SC/ ST, dependents of those who died in 84 riots 31 yrs., physically challenged get 10-year relaxation in age, Kashmir domiciled (before 1989 ) 31 yrs.
