For the Category-I that is Diploma Engineers Candidates, a written test of 40 Questions with 1 Hour duration. Each question will carry ‘3’ marks and a penalty for a wrong choice is ‘1’.
Those who qualify in the written test, will get chance to appear in the Personal Interview round. The final selection will be based on the performance in the personal Interview.
There would be 3 stages for Category-II posts, that a candidate needs to clear to get selected to this reputed institute.
Stage 1 Preliminary Test -The examination would consist of 50 multiple choice questions of one hour. There would be 20 questions related to mathematics, 20 questions related to science and 10 questions related to general awareness and the candidate is required to at least score more than 40% to reach to the second stage.
Stage 2- Advanced Test – The candidates who secure good marks in stage 1 will go through the second stage. It would consist of 50 multiple choice questions with two hours duration. The candidates are required to secure more than 30%.
Stage 3- Skills Test– The shortlisted candidates will be tested for skill test on based of merit. It would be based on the Go/No Go basis.
The selected trainee will be further given training in the Mumbai center as per the prescribed syllabus. Upon the successful completion of the internship, the candidate will secure the job of scientific assistant A, a technician for different levels. Further, the selected candidates need to sign a bond with BARC/AERB.
