The Management Trainee get an appointment in the revised pay scale of E1 40,000 – 1,40,000. The starting basic pay after the appointment in the regular grade would be 40,000. The Salary breakup for the Fresh Graduate Engineers of HAL is shown here;

An engineering graduate from the Electrical, Mechanical, Civil & Electronics streams (with 65% marks for UR/ OBC & 55% SC/ ST/ PwD) can join the HAL from the current year valid GATE score card.
The newly appointed Engineers or Management Trainee have to appear in the One Year-long training program about the HAL products & services. After the successful training, they get the chance to get posted in the R&D, Products Manufacturing Units, Service department or Marketing division situated in various cities in the country. Like any other PSU, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited also have 10 executive Grades, named as I, II, …and X. All Grade has a unique pay scale associated with it. Management Trainee recruited in the Grade II, whereas the Assistant Engineer appointed at Level- I PayScale. On promotion, each executive gets placed on the new pay scale and due to this all perks, allowances, and benefits also get increased.
