  7. GAIL (India) Limited

Maharatna PSU Pay Scale

The Government of India had implemented 2nd pay revision for Public Sector Employees which was effective from 01.01.2007. There are certain fixed grade in the executive cadre of any government company. Schedule A and Maharatna PSUs has E0 to E9 grade/pay scales. The Management of a PSU has a right to recruit fresh engineers in any of these scales. Generally, they appoint freshers on E1 or E2 or E3 grade in IDA pay scale. NATIONAL THERMAL POWER CORPORATION (NTPC)

NTPC recruits fresh engineers for the post of executive trainees from open market through GATE examination. engineers. Graduates of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics & Instrumentation are eligible for the recruitment in the power company.

Selection Process

  • The candidates must perform well for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Based on the result of GATE the aspirants will be eligible to appear in an Online Aptitude Test.
  • The result of Online Aptitude Test cream off the name of successful applicants to appear in-group discussion and then conceded onward for Personal Interview. The candidates who want their name to appear in the merit list must secure minimum qualifying marks in both group discussion & personal interview.

Pay Scale, Perks, and Allowances

  • The entrance level Executive Trainee will be given a basic salary of INR 24,900/-

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)

ONGC also takes graduates of different streams for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engg.

Selection Process

  • The candidates are shortlisted based on the result of Thus, the entrants must appear for GATE exam.
  • Based on the marks of GATE the candidates are shortlisted for personal interview, which is the final stage of the selection process.
  • The aspirants must secure the minimum qualifying marks to make their presence sensed in the merit list.

Pay scale, Perks, and Allowances

  • Graduate Trainees will obtain a basic pay scale of INR 24,900-50,500/- with a raise of 3% every single year.

Last time it had recruited MT (Technical & Administration) candidates through a separate written examination. The engineering branches allowed are Ceramics, Computer, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Metallurgy & Mining.

Selection Process

  • The candidates get shortlisted based on the result of examination test / Skill test and Trade test.
  • Selected candidates need to appear for Group discussion & personal interview in the ratio of 1:4.

Pay scale, Perks, and Allowances

  • The basic Pay received by a Management Trainee of Grade E1 is INR 20,600 – 46,500/-
  • Apart from basic pay, employees will get Dearness Allowance, Cafeteria Approach that is 46% of basic pay, the medical facility for self and reliant, Provident Fund, Gratuity and numerous additional benefits.




BHARAT HEAVY ELECTRICALS LIMITED (BHEL)

It has already announced the recruitment of fresh graduates for the post of Engineer trainee through GATE 2017. The eligible disciplines are Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.

Selection Process

  • The applicants are duty-bound to appear for GATE exam because based on the result of GATE the candidates will get shortlisted for the interview in order of merit in the ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies in each discipline and category.
  • The aspirants who wish their name sensed in the merit list must secure minimum 75% in written test score and 25% in theInterview

IOCL recruits officers for executive posts through GATE test. The Eligible disciplines are Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Polymer Engineering.

Selection Process

  • Appearance by candidates in GATE exam is a necessity because GATE result is taken into a concern to carry on the selection procedure to Group Discussion& Group Task and then lastly to the personal interview which is the final stage of the selection process.

GAIL also announced the 45 vacancies for Executive trainees through GATE 2017 examination. Engineering students of Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Civil streams are allowed to apply for the job.

Selection Process

  • For the selection process, the applicants must achieve all the eligibility criteria.
  • The candidates will undergo single stage / multiple stage selection processes, which comprises Group Discussion and Interview before the selection committee.

  • The basic pay scale for the candidates selected for the posts in numerous grades are INR 24,900-50,500/-(E2 grade), INR 29,100-54,500/-(E3 grade) and INR 51,300-73,000/-(E8 grade)
