Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, a Navratna Company came into existence 01st April 1986 to provide the telecom service for the residents of the two metro City i.e. Delhi & Mumbai and their nearby area. Recently the state-owned telecom service provides published a recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Manager (HR, Sales & Marketing) and the Junior Account officer in the Finance department. The JAO post is also equivalent to Jr. Telecom Officer grade.

MTNL JTO, JAO & AM Salary

In this post, we will check the salary in hand for the newly recruited AM, JTO & JAO in the MTNL Mumbai or Delhi.
The Junior Telecom/ Account officer get the appointment in the post at E2 grade in the 2nd PRC pay scale of 20,600 – 46,500. The post is Group B or Class- II supervisory cum executive in nature and very much similar Senior Section Engineer of Railway Department.

The initial basic pay of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limite Assistant Manager is 20,600. The total salary includes the Basic Pay, Dearness Allowances, Conveyance allowance, Employee Provident Fund etc. The below table represents the salary break up and gross salary per month for the post of JAO/JTO/AM in the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited.

The above pay is as per the 2nd Pay Revision Committee guidelines which were applicable from 01.01.2007, the next pay revision is due from 01.01.2017 and not yet implemented in the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited due to heavy financial losses from last few years.

During the probation, the Navratna company will pay a fixed amount of 30,000/- per month for 12 months to the newly appointed executives.

JTO Job Profile

It is a technical post for which graduates engineers from Electronics & Telecommunications, Computer Science,  Information Technology, Elecrical, and Civil are recruited.

These fresh engineers have to work on the new project, maintenance/ Installation of Electronics Equipment, Landline/Broadband/Mobile BTS, Sales & Marketing, Radio Frequency Planning & Optimization. The work categorization for the post of Junior Telecom Officer Post in Telecom Company divided into two groups Indoor & Outdoor. The Indoor job is a white-collar job and has it’s pros & cons too, In a similar way outdoor duty is somewhat hard as compared to the indoor.

AM HR Nature of Work

Assistant Manager in the Human Resource is primarily for the proper management & utilization of the existing manpower in the Company.
