NLC is the only Navratna Company which do business in both lignite & Coal mining as well as the thermal power sector. The company was established in the year 1956. It has total 19700 Number of the employee as on 31 October 2018. The company has achieved the net turnover of Rs 11864/- crore and earned a profit of Rs 2005.8/- Crore in the financial year 2017-18.
Due to the high-profit margin, the government of India awarded the Navratna Status to the company on 11 April 2011.
To make a steady growth in both of these sectors the company needs fresh talent and hence it is recruiting The executive trainee through GATE score basis.
NLC GET Salary
The selected candidates have to appear for the training period of one year. After the confirmation, they will be appointed as Assistant Executive Engineer in the Neyveli Lignite Corporation in the IDA pay band of 20,600 – 46,500/-.
The starting basic pay of these graduated fixed at Rs 20,600/- per month. The gross salary distribution of these young executive shown here in the table.

Apart from basic pay NLC executives also gets the dearness allowances, common allowances, performance related pay, provident fund, and superannuation benefits. The total value of allowances for the post of Graduate Executive Trainee would be Rs 49,400/- per month. And gross monthly salary would be Rs 70,000/- after the appointment in the service at NLC India Limited.
The 3rd PRC not yet implemented for the employees of the NLC. After the 3rd Pay revision of Scales, the Graduate Executive Trainee revised basic pay will be 50,000 just after the appointment in the service. The salary breakup after the 3rd PRC for is also presented in the above table. A newly recruited Graduate Executive Trainee may get the total salary of Rs 96,000/- per month after taking the responsibility of the post of Assistant Executive Engineer.
