The Power System Operation Corporation has issued advertisement for the young, dynamic bright Computer Science & Electrical Engineers for the post of the Executive Trainee (ET) in the IDA pay scale of 24900-50500.
Earlier POSOCO was a subsidiary company under Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. The company came into existence in March 2010.
Now it is an independent Govt Company under Ministry of Power Government of India. It is also known as National Load dispatch center. It is responsible for the overall Electrical Grid system in a decent, efficient and protected manner.

GATE Paper Code & Education Qualification
The candidate must be a Graduate in Electrical OR Computer Science Engineering with minimum 65% marks. The GATE 2018 paper code and equivalent eligible streams list is shown in the table.

The final year appearing students are also eligible for the recruitment in the Power System Corporation Limited, provided that their result must declare before 14.08.2018.
The selection procedure is like like any other Government Company. The candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of their GATE 2018 marks. They will be called for Group Discussion and Interview round.
The group discussion is not having any cutoff criteria. However, a candidate must secure at least 40% in the Interview section. The cutoff criteria for OBC(NCL)/SC/ST candidates is 30%.

On the basis of GATE 2018 marks & performance in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview, a category wise merit list will be prepared.
The top candidate as per company’s requirements will get offer letters from POSOCO. They have to appear in the medical fitness test. That is very general in nature.
POSOCO Executive Trainee Salary
The successful candidate will have to undergo the one-year training. During the training period, they will get the package of 8.6 Lakh per annum.
After successful completion of training, the candidate will be appointed as Engineer in the Power System Operation Corporation in the pay scale of 24900-50500. The below table displays the salary breakup of newly recruited Executives.

As per official advertisement, the executive engineer will get total salary package of 15.00 Lakh per annum.
