Not long ago, the MP Public Service Commission had announced the vacant positions for the Group- B & Group– C officers in the various government department in the state. This time total 202 vacancies are notified. The competent authority may post the selected candidates to 15 positions as explained in the advertisement. The Salary of the various post may vary. So here in this article, we will see the responsibility of MPPSC posts and their salary.

 

MPPSC Officers with Grade Pay 5400

MP Government Class-II officers are recruited on Grade pay of 5400, 4200 and 3600 (Block Development Officers). These are in the Gazetted Officers list under Madhya Pradesh Government. The Name of posts and salary are under

Deputy Collector

A deputy collector is a gazetted officer belongs the Group B cadre of Madhya Pradesh Government employees. A Deputy collector works directly under control of District Collector.


They are also responsible for all revenue related matters like land allotment and revenue collection. Along with this, they also have to take care of all the land that comes under government jurisdiction like wastelands, water bodies, small forests, etc.

Deputy Superintendent of Police

This is a post in the state police department. The deputy will be equivalent to Assistant Commissioner of Police. The major function of the deputy superintendent of police is to maintain proper law and order of the city they are posted in. They also have the probability of being promoted to the cadre of Indian Police Services Officer in a span of average 8-10 years. These gazetted officers head an area smaller than a district often known as division.

Superintendent District Jail

As a superintendent of a district jail, it will be your responsibility to regulate the daily activities of the prisoners. Their custody, security, discipline will also be under your job profile. In cases of emergencies, you will have to make sure that proper preventive and control measures are taken.

All the matters of prison economy, expenditure, discipline, labor as well as the punishment and control of prisoners are also under your belt. IT is also your responsibility to ensure that the jail has a receptive and corrective environment.

District Revenue Officer

As the name suggests, the district revenue officer is responsible for the collection of all municipal taxes and revenues from his jurisdiction. Working under the deputy commissioner and the commissioner, he also has to take care of the files which are being passed on to them.

He will also be responsible for all the outdoor as well as the indoor staff of the revenue department. All the policies related matters under the revenue department are also to be supervised by the district revenue officers. Issues of land acquisition, land allocation are also under his job profile.

Commercial Taxes Officer

Their  duties  are  of  registration  matters,  maintaining  updated  records  of  all  dealers, receiving  returns  and  payments,  assessment  of  cases  including  large  turnover  cases, recoveries  of  tax,  monitor  revenue  collection,  cross  verifying  of  VAT  invoices, educating  dealers  to  promote  correct  voluntary  compliance  of  Act  and  rules,identification  of  unregistered  dealers,  monitoring  of  computerization  works,  audit work,  to  check  the  taxpayers  performance,  particularly  non-compliance  of  law detection, etc.

Assistant Director

An assistant director will work hand-in-hand with the Director of the department to ensure improvement in productivity of the department abiding by the rules and regulations.


They have to assist in planning as well as the execution of plans and targets for the department, lend a helping hand to the director for daily department works, hiring of the subordinate staff, and check the expenses to keep them under department budget in addition to the duties assigned to him by the Director.

Additional Assistant Development Commissioner

Their job description includes many tasks few of which are supervising the function of licensing section, work relating to project approval, import/export, monitoring of the performance of export-oriented units.

Block Development Officer

They are in charge of the block. Their job is to monitor all the planning and development related programs of the block. A block development officer also has to oversee the matters brought up by their subordinates through the administrative channel and take appropriate decision on them.

The block development officer also has to supervise all the office functioning including gram sevak, gram sevika, extension officers. They have a responsibility for all development activities & government services in the villages under a Taluka or Tehsil.

MP Government Class-III officers

These executive are recruited in the 6th CPC Grade pay of 3,600 and 2,800. The total emoluments per month and the Post name are shown hereunder

Naib Tehsildar

They are in charge of tehsil revenue agency and are also responsible for the management and upkeep of tehsil revenue accounts and records. A naib tehsildar is also destined to recollect the dues related to government in accordance with various acts. They also make regular inspection of patwaris and kanungos working under them to ensure that they are fulfilling their duties properly.


Deputy Inspector Revenue & Commercial tax inspector

Their main job is to ensure that all the individuals and companies who are liable to pay taxes are paying them on time and in the proper amount. A commercial tax inspector has to scrutinize the incoming tax returns. They also have to keep any shady business in check and if they find something suspicious then it is their job to inspect it and take the matters to court if need be.

Inspector

An inspector has to do all the checking work in their department. They have to ensure that every working in the department is going on smoothly and meeting the standards of the said department’s rules and regulations. They have to carry out their duties as assigned by their superiors.

Assistant Jail Superintendent

In absence of their head, they have to carry out all the superintendent’s duties in addition to their own. They have to take care of admission and release of prisoners after verification of all the documents. Assistant jail superintendent also has to take care of the appeals register and attending to appeals, bails, etc. They also have to look after producing the prisoner in court. The raw material’s supply for the workshop is also supervised by him.

Deputy inspector transport

Though their duties are largely affected by the mode of transport they are working with but the basics remain the same. Their job is to ensure that the transport is functioning in proper condition. A deputy inspector transport also has to ensure that all the parts of transport medium abide by the rules, regulations, and standards which have been established by the government.

Cooperative Inspector

Their job is to inspect and supervise all types of primary cooperative societies under statutory functions of the Registrar and are delegated to Inspectors of Cooperative Societies to assist him in the functioning of cooperative societies.

    • Yes, you are eligible for the MPPSC recruitment examination. The maximum age limit for the MP Domicile candidates is 40 years.

    I just want to know I heard about deputy collector profile that he won’t be able to take enough leaves to celebrate the festival and work is also hectic kindly guide us if it is a myth?

    • Yes, the workload would be there but at the same time, you will have lots of supporting staff. So all depends upon the individual managerial skills to manage the manpower to complete the work under stipulated time. Nowadays things can be easily managed over mobile phone.

    • Yes, if you have qualified the MPPSC Prelims exam, you are eligible for the mains. Your degree must complete before the personal Interview.

    • MPPSC Civil service examination is for the administrative post. So selected candidates have to look after all the issues pertaining to the department Technical, Administrative, & Financial.

    • You need to apply for the next MPPSC recruitment. And start preparing for the examination.
      One can get max DSP rank through MPPSC in the police department. But rank should be in the top 100 to get same and need to pass physical standard/fitness test.

    • Yes, there is a medical fitness test before appointment in the MP Civil Services. But that is very general in nature and most of the students clear it without any problem.
      Only Police post through MPPSC having some physical measurement criteria which can be checked from here.

    • I will post a few more articles on MPPSC very soon.
      There is only one tip to get success in a competitive exam study hard that is relevant to the syllabus and regular practice.
      Most of the time individuals start very aggressively and after a few months, they lost interest.
      So do a regular study & practice to get the success in 1st attempt.

    • You can start preparation anytime. Just you need to select two subjects for the main examination.
      Age limit for MP domicile candidate is 35 Years.

    • Yes, there are physical requirements for DSP post through MPPSC. Height-168cm, Chest 84cm (Normal) & 89cm (On Expansion).

    • PwD candidate can work the official jobs, they are not recruited for the outdoor nature posts.
      Most of the MPPSC post is for the official job except the police department.
      So as per Govt rules, 3% vacancy in each category are reserved for PwD candidates.

    • As all official job posts have reservations for the PwD candidates.
      Most of the MPPSC posts for official administrative job purpose except police department.
      Hence PwD candidate can get the 3% reservation as per govt of India guidelines in all office job posts.

    • Graduates are eligible for the MPPSC post, you need not go for further studies for MPPSC. You can start preparing for the same.

  11. I have done my engineering with civil branch. Now I am thinking to do the preparation of mppsc. How can i start and What will be the posts?
    And is this the same exam for sub engineer?

    • Try for the post whose Grade Pay is 5400, as these posts are topmost for MPPSC exams.
      The paper pattern for the Sub Engineers may vary with the MPPSC.

    • Yes, other state students can apply for MPPSC recruitment exam. But they will be treated as General category students irrespective of their own category.

    • Yes, you can go ahead. But before that just check & compare the minimum & maximum salary & your current job salary as the compensation varies from post to post. There are only handful of posts which offers respectable package.

  14. Junior supply officer has grade pe 2800 in MP .they also get salary as above mentioned .What are the perks available for them .Like they get four wheeler like naib tahsildar or not??

    • There are posts reserved for ex-servicemen in every govt recruitment. So please read full recruitment advertisement whenever the job vacancy is notified.
