Telangana Police Salary
The Basic pay of constable starts from 16400 per month. Apart from basic pay employee get dearness allowances, House Rent Allowances, Provident Fund, Conveyance Allowances etc in his/her gross salary. Duties & Responsibilities
Telangana Police organization is divided into police districts, subdivisions, circles and police station jurisdictions. The district is under control of a Superintendent of Police. A subdivision is headed by a Dy SP or an Addl DSP, ( called as Sub –divisional-police-officer). A division has a few circles under it. A Circle is usually under the control of a Police Circle Inspector. There could be several police stations in a circle, which are headed by officers of the rank of Police Inspectors or Sub-Inspectors.
Registering of First Information Reports(FIRs) is an important duty of police officers at police stations. They must act promptly on complaints and information on offenses and crimes as well as any disturbance of law and order. Part from maintenance of law and order the police personnel have to provide protection to VIPs, constitutional functionaries, people representatives such as MPs, MLAs, MLCs, ministers, judicial officers, political leaders, and celebrities based on threat perception.
They have to ensure traffic control function, take care of prisons, help manage emergencies such as accidents, calamities like cyclones, floods, fire, earth quake, investigate and prepare reports and give evidence in courts, They also prevent crimes by acting quickly on intelligence reports of terror acts and subversive activities.
