DA, HRA, EPF & Other facilities
The central dearness allowances rates are revised after every six months, the current DA rate for the central government employees is 7%.
The House rent allowances rates are based on the place of posting of an employee. These rates are revised with the pay revision. Currently, HRA rates for A, B & C types cities are 27%, 18%, and 9% respectively. The SSEs who are living in staff quarters are not entitled to the HRA benefits.
The Employee provident fund is deposited on the SSE’s PF account. The 12% of Basic pay plus DA from the Senior Section Engineer’s salary and the employer also contribute the equal amount for the same. From the employer’s contribution, 8.33 is for EPF and remaining 3.67 contributed towards the pension scheme. So total 20.33% of basic pay is being deposited every month in Employee provident fund account.
