Telangana Police Constable Selection Process

The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board Constable selection process divided into three stages:

  1. Preliminary Written Test (PWT)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Final Written Examination (FWE)

Let’s see each one by one.

Preliminary Written Test

All candidate who fulfills the eligibility criteria will have to appear in the preliminary Written Test. The details of the exam are as follows;

  • Total marks: 200 Marks
  • Duration of the test: 3Hours (180Minutes)
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks for OCs: 40%
  • BCs: 35%
  • SC/ST/Ex-SM: 30%

Physical Measurement Test

Those who qualify the preliminary written test will be called for the Physical measurements test. The details of Physical measurements test is given in the table

The Physical measurement test has some relaxation to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes & Aboriginal tribes Areas of Mahaboobnagar, Adilabad, Warangal and Khammam districts. The details are as presented here in the table

Those who found the physically fit as per the rules, they will need to appear in the next round that is Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET has different term and conditions according to the post of the constable.

The candidate who successfully qualified both Physical Measurement Test and Physical Efficiency Test will get a chance to appear in the final written examination. The details of final written examination are as under

  • Maximum marks (21,26, 27 & 28): 200
  • Maximum marks (22,23, 24 & 25): 100
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks for OCs: 40%
  • BCs: 35%
  • SC/ST/Ex-SM: 30%

Weightage Marks

The candidate who possess the light Or Heavy motor vehicle license for a period of more than 2 years, such candidate will get 3 (Three) weightage marks in the selection.
